There is good news afoot for fans of classic Top Gear and Amazon’s The Grand Tour, as Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are all set to reunite in a new set of specials.
However, this time around, the trio won’t be jetting off to different corners of the globe to tackle new sets of motoring challenges.
Instead, as confirmed by Amazon today, May, Clarkson and Hammond will join forces to take a look back at their fondest memories from Grand Tour history.
News of the trio’s reunion was confirmed last month thanks to Amazon scheduling The Not Very Grand Tour for release in April, but now it’s been announced that a further three are on the way.

In The Not Very Grand Tour: The Power and the Glory, Hammond and May will provide viewers with their honest opinions and fondest recollections from “some of the more propulsive films” from the show’s history.
An official synopsis for the special also states that the duo will “celebrate the glory of the internal combustion engine” during their look back.
Hammond and May will reminisce over the “hyper-car holy trinity, muscle cars in Detroit, a city sprint in a Bugatti, the world’s craziest tank, and a race between the past, present and future”.
But after The Not Very Grand Tour, another three specials remain in the pipeline, with the release dates penned for later this year and 2026.
The second instalment that will see the iconic trio reunite has been titled The Grand-ish Tour: A Trip Down Memory Lane.
This time around, Hammond, May and Clarkson “celebrate epic driving moments in California, Morocco, Colorado and Scandinavia” as well as “wince at the misery brought on by water and mud”.
There also promises to be particular spotlight shone on Clarkson as the synopsis teases that the special will “remind Jeremy of his mechanical incompetence” alongside “an excellent montage of each other falling over”.
The third special has been given the title The Grand-ish Tour: A Bit Further Down Memory Lane.
This episode is billed to be a celebration of the trio’s craftsmanship, shining a particular spotlight on the creations they’ve assembled over the years.
Among the highlights will be “John, the self-assembly car that crossed Mongolia, and Jeremy’s home-made SUV, The Excellent”.
Closing out the run of specials, presumably in late 2026, will be The Grand-ish Tour: Completely Lost Down Memory Lane.
Tipped to be one of the emotional specials in the new block of episodes, the synopsis claims the finale “features everything from French hatchback racing and drifting Italian classics to an RV demolition derby and some massive dogs. Plus, a series of explosions, a dangerous trip for Nigel Mansell, and a heartfelt farewell to an old friend”.

Release dates for the final three specials in the series are yet to be announced, but The Not Very Grand Tour has been confirmed for April 18 on Amazon Prime Video.
The trio had initially bid farewell to the world of The Grand Tour back in September following the release of their final feature-length special, One for the Road.
In it, Clarkson, Hammond and May jetted to Zimbabwe for the episode, a poignant location given it was the very spot they travelled to for their first abroad Top Gear series many years earlier.
Since the show ended, Clarkson has been busy filming the fourth and fifth seasons of Clarkson’s Farm, May has returned to screens in Channel 5’s The Great Explorers, and Hammond recently launched a new series of his podcast alongside daughter Izzy.
