Ben Leo issues on-air apology as GB News star presents show with unexpected issue

Watch as GB News star Ben Leo opens up his programme on the People’s Channel with an apology.

Sharp-eared viewers will have noticed Ben welcomed them to the show with a slightly more raspy delivery than usual.

He explained that while he enjoyed a night out with fellow GB News stars Bev Turner and Alex Armstrong, this was not a factor.

“Apologies for my quite raspy voice”, he said.

“I was out for one drink with Bev Turner and Alex Armstrong last night, but this has absolutely nothing to do with it.

“Halfway through my show last night at about 10pm, my voice randomly started to go.

Ben took to Instagram last night to share a photo from a night out with some of his GB News colleagues.

He was joined by fellow presenters Bev Turner and Alex Armstrong and also Head of Programming Ben Briscoe.

It wasn’t the only thing Ben got up to yesterday as he enjoyed a family day out at his son’s tennis tournament.

The GB News star told his panellists he heard other parents describing him as a “helicopter parent” as he patrolled the court watching his son participate.

He explained: “I took my son to his second tennis tournament yesterday. My wife overheard a family calling me a helicopter parent.

“I was sort of stalking the sidelines and just trying to make sure he was okay.

“He’s only five!”
