ITV Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa has been forced to shut down Chris Hughes when he referred to her as his “girlfriend” as he tried to explain why he didn’t choose her for a Chinese.
Tonight, Big Brother announced to the house that Hughes, Trisha Goddard and Danny Beard were able to use their treats they received from day one.
Hughes decided to have a Chinese takeaway as his reward, and after choosing 11 dishes, Big Brother informed the Love Island star that he could choose one housemate to join him.
The star responded: “Oh my god. Obviously, I want to choose JoJo. As an American, I want her to enjoy a proper f***ing British Chinese, you know.
“I kinda wanna have it with Jack though, cause it might be his last night.”
After being sassed by Big Brother, Hughes decided to choose Jack P Shepherd as he felt he was stressed about his eviction nomination.

Walking out of the diary room, Hughes grabbed Shepherd to inform him of his choice and said: “Mr Platt. He (Big Brother) said name one person you want to share your Chinese with.
“I went with my head and not my heart, and you look stressed. I got 11 dishes, it could be your last night.”
In the kitchen, they continued their conversation, as Hughes joked: “That is a proper good feast! Just two lads having a proper good feast.”
Siwa entered the room and left Shepherd to throw Hughes under the bus about not choosing his “house bestie” to join him for the meal.
Scrambling and trying to explain his decision, Hughes said: “You know I love you – they said you get to have one person to have a Chinese with and 99 per cent of my head and my heart wanted to choose you.”
Siwa interjected and joked: “But the other one per cent made you not choose me. I will remember that. Congratulations, you deserve it. I get a little two-hour break, I get to do my hair in peace.”
Walking with Siwa outside to make sure he fully explained his decision, Hughes said: “Do you know what that was like? It was like having a spare ticket to a football game and your girlfriend saying, ‘Oh, I want to come.”
Siwa immediately jumped in and sternly confirmed: “I am not your girlfriend.”
Hughes immediately agreed and continued: “No, I know, but that is what it was like. Deep down, I went with my head, not my heart, and Jack looks stressed.”
Siwa reassured him that she was okay with his decision, but added: “Look, I am glad you came and told me, it’s fine, but I am going to remember it.”
Viewers of the show were left praising Siwa for making Hughes aware of their relationship boundaries, as one noted on X: “Ok this isn’t Love Island babes.”
“Well damn, not Chris ‘pulling JoJo for a chat’ it’s not that deep,” someone else added, before a third said: “Chris already making hypothetical about Jojo being his gf. Okayyyyyy.”
A fourth penned: “Chris and JoJo are house ‘friends’ but, why is he laying on so thick to justify choosing Jack for the Chinese.”
“I’m not your girlfriend’ LOL tell him JoJo,” a fifth expressed before another noted: “I’m not your girlfriend’ YOU TELL HIM JOJO.”
However, one viewer defended the pair as they wrote: “THEY’RE FRIENDS! He was like this with Kem just not as touchy.” (sic)
