JoJo Siwa has revealed she no longer identifies as a lesbian but as queer during her time on Celebrity Big Brother.
The 21-year-old dancer made the revelation during Tuesday night’s livestream following a triple eviction on the show.
In a private bedroom conversation with RuPaul’s Drag Race star Danny Beard, Siwa confessed: “I feel so queer.”
When Beard responded: “I’m queer!” Siwa continued: “I’ve never – I think I’ve always told myself, I’m a lesbian. I think you – I think being here – I’ve realised I am not a lesbian, I’m queer.
“And I think that’s really cool, I’m switching letters! I’ve dropped the L and I’ve gone to the Q baby! That’s what I love about sexuality.”
The term queer is typically described as an umbrella term for people whose sexuality is not heterosexual.

Siwa’s revelation comes amid ongoing speculation about her relationship with fellow housemate Chris Hughes, 32.
The pair have formed a notably close bond in the house, regularly seen cuddling on the sofa and sharing a bed.
They’ve also been spotted writing secret messages to each other, with their growing friendship catching viewers’ attention.
In one flirty bedroom exchange, Hughes even told Siwa he would kiss her, before she later licked chocolate off of his shorts.
Their connection developed after the Love Island star defended Siwa from homophobic language used by Mickey Rourke in the house.
While some viewers have suggested their affectionate behaviour might hint at something more romantic, others maintain they are simply close friends.
Siwa’s close relationship with Hughes has raised questions about her current partnership with Kath Ebbs, whom she’s been dating since January.
Ebbs, 27, a nonbinary podcaster, actor and LGBTQ+ advocate, had initially pledged to post on Instagram every day the young singer and dancer was in the Big Brother house.
However, that stream of support has mysteriously dried up in recent days, with fans noticing her disappearance from Instagram and TikTok.
Celebrity Big Brother fans are now speculating that Ebbs may not attend the show’s finale to meet Siwa.
Despite fans’ speculation, Ebbs had previously expressed support for Siwa’s friendship with Hughes.
Siwa has also opened up about her gender identity during her time in the house and admitted she feels most aligned with nonbinary people she’s met.
