One of Gogglebox’s most popular families on the show shared a heartbreaking update which comes a week on from their announcement of a devastating loss.
The Malones, made up of mum Julie, dad Tom and sons Tom Jr and Shaun – have been fan favourites on the Channel 4 series since 2014.
They have appeared since their debut alongside several four-legged friends, who are very much a part of their family.
Last week, the Malones shared on social media how they’d had to bid farewell to Rottweiler Bobby.
Bobby’s death comes after the family shared in 2023 that their other pooch Dave, also a Rottweiler, had died.
Dave, along with the family’s other adorable four-legged friends, made frequent appearances on the Channel 4 series, often leaving fans in hysterics.
Days after sharing the news of Bobby’s death, the Malones shared a poignant update as they navigate their grief.
Sharing another post on Instagram about their dog Tilly, Julie penned: “My beautiful Tilly has just made me cry!”
The post went on: “Tilly has always been a quiet girl hardly ever barks as Bobby was always the barky one if anyone knocked on the door etc.
“Tilly has been quieter than usual and had been looking for Bobby every time she goes in the garden, so we have been giving her plenty of love and attention.
“Today she has accepted he’s gone, how do I know? The window cleaner is on the street and even though not at our house she’s taken over from Bob and barked.”
Fans were quick to tear up along with the Malones, with one writing in the comments: “My heart whenever the old series is on n Dave’s on it, my heart does a little flip. beautiful fur babies.”
“Aww bless her. Our rottie took over from barking at anything that was at the front of ours from our Yorkshire terrier when he passed xx,” a second shared.
“They are the most beautiful breed of dog. Sending much love,” another commented.
“Bless her. I’m so sorry for your loss it’s so hard losing our furkids. sending you all gentle hugs x,” a fourth added.
Another echoed this, writing: “Oh my heart. I’m so sorry and hope Tilly is ok. I can’t begin to imagine the loss you are feeling. Sending love from me and my son x.”
“Oh bless her, they do know when their partner in crime has gone, she’ll be a source of happiness for you all for years to come,” another posted.
Julie accompanied the post with a sweet photo of Tilly glancing up at the camera.
