Amanda Holden has made clear she is on good terms with Sharon Osbourne following an awkward and public social media spat last year.
TV personality Holden, 54, took to social media on Wednesday to share an update which claimed she had reignited her war of words with Osbourne, 72, quashing the report and insisting she and the former X Factor judge are close.
Sharing the article, which was titled “Amanda Holden makes jaw-dropping comment about Sharon Osbourne,” to her Instagram Story in a now-deleted post, Holden wrote: “Bulls*** alert.
She added: “No I b***** don’t. This is b******s! Read it!!” After naming the journalist she continued: “I’m surprised at you darling and @sharonosbourne let’s have that [cocktail emoji] soon.”
Holden’s post came after the article claimed she had hit out as Osbourne for using weight-loss drug Ozempic.
It is understood she told the MailOnline she would always choose her “face over waistline”.
When asked about Osbourne using the weight loss aid, she replied: “I would choose my face over my waist any day.
“Obviously, yeah, with Sharon… It is a crazy time for those sort of jabs and things.”
However, it seems the Britain’s Got Talent judge wanted to make clear that there is no bad blood between her and Osbourne despite last year’s row.
The social media feud broke out during Osbourne’s stint on the 2024 edition of Celebrity Big Brother alongside former X Factor co-star, Louis Walsh.
Both had worked with Simon Cowell, who Holden has also worked alongside for years on Britain’s Got Talent, but the Big Brother pair made comments about Cowell on the show which Holden went on to describe as “bitter”.
During the reality series, Walsh and Osbourne noted how neither of them were friends with Cowell anymore and quipped that he would “need more boxtox” by the time they had finished talking about him.
Holden soon waded into the row and defended Cowell, fuming: “I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she added: “It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby.”
“There was a friendship there and an opportunity. So however the business ends, you should have respect for the opportunity that was given to you and the pay cheque that was given to you.”
It didn’t take long for Osbourne to catch wind of the comments and release a statement hitting back at Holden’s claims – noting that she was an “ill-informed sycophantic” for not doing her homework beforehand.
In April of last year, Osbourne penned a lengthy statement which she shared to her Instagram. She furiously noted: “You know nothing about my history in the music industry, my achievements, the artists I have worked with, the shows I have produced, and my global celebrity. Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide.
“Before you were born, I was living in a mansion in Beverly Hills and continue to do so today and continue to have my country estate in England as well. But there is something you should know. I never discuss money, lifestyle, or positions of power.
“I find it to be classless and crude However, you’ve now forced my hand to divulge these things to you and I honestly don’t want to seem like I’m bragging, but the truth is my money and success were not due to doing a couple of Simon Cowell talent shows.”

After making several further arguments, she ended the statement: “In closing, I must say whenever I have seen you on TV I always thought you were very beautiful and talented.
“However, never make comments about my lifestyle given to me by Simon Cowell. It’s demeaning to me and my husband and all the achievements I have made in my life as you’re making yourself look like an ill-informed sycophantic. Sincerely, Sharon Osbourne.”
