Brooklyn Beckham has extended his first olive branch to his family with a sweet tribute to his grandfather, amid an alleged feud with his parents and siblings.
Just days after music titan, Sir Elton John, tried to help the family make peace, the model, 26, took to his Instagram story to wish his paternal grandfather a happy birthday.
The oldest Beckham sibling posted a tender photograph of himself and his grandfather, Ted Beckham, dressed up to the nines in a suit and tie, smiling with their arms around each other.
He captioned it: “Happy Birthday Grandad xx I love you”, along with two red heart emojis and a “happy birthday” sticker pasted on top.
Brooklyn joined his father David, 50, as well as in mother Victoria, 51, in wishing Ted a public happy birthday online.
This is the first act of reconciliation from Brooklyn since his godfather, Elton John, reportedly held peace talks to try and seal the rift between the famous family.
The 78-year-old EGOT winner is believed to have taken Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, for lunch in Cannes alongside his husband, David Furnish.
The group congregated at La Guerite beach club in Cannes, France, to allegedly speak about the ongoing rift between the duo and the rest of the Beckham clan.
A source reported to The Sun: “Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland”, but pressing: “He’s utterly neutral in this row.
“Elton of old may have relished in taking sides – in this case, his young godson, Brooklyn, but two years off his 80th birthday, he’s a man who has seen and done it all. He just wants everyone to be happy”
Making John’s attempts at neutral reconciliation clear, they said: “”There is no side-taking as such; he simply adores his godson, and really has a laugh with Nicola, who he thinks has a great sense of humour.
“He wants to look after them in his role as ‘spiritual adviser’ as a godfather.”
The meeting came off the back of rumours that his siblings, Romeo and Cruz, had blocked their older brother on social media, cementing the falling out.
The Sun reported that it was Cruz, 20, and Romeo, 22, who had blocked Brooklyn, despite initial reports claiming it was Brooklyn who had unfollowed his brothers.
“Even when the family have reached out to Brooklyn they have been ignored,” a source told the Sun. “He’s not had contact for months, and it feels clear to them that he doesn’t want to make amends.
“Brooklyn had no idea until he read about it online. It’s possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as him no longer following the brothers.”
The origin of the falling out has been widely disputed, however, some sources have claimed it allegedly began back in 2022, when former Spice Girl Victoria fell out with Nicola over the young couple’s lavish wedding.
It has been claimed Peltz refused to let Posh, the CEO and founder of her own fashion label, design her wedding dress.
Brooklyn has not been pictured with his family in public since Boxing Day 2024, missing out on his fathers 50th and OBE.
However, David and Victoria have continued to tag Brooklyn in their social media posts, including both parents’ posts to Harper for her 14th birthday.
