ITV GMB star slams show for ‘DISGRACEFUL’ reporting as they heap praise on ‘better and fairer’ GB News: ‘Well done!’

Good Morning Britain contributor and regular panellist Narinder Kaur has launched a scathing attack on the ITV show while simultaneously heaping praise on GB News.

Kaur was left furious on Wednesday morning with how ITV’s breakfast show reported on the news that Prince Harry had been cleared of any wrongdoing following an internal dispute at Sentebale, the charity he co-founded in 2006 to support vulnerable children in southern Africa.

ITV presenters Kate Garraway and Ed Balls were the duo tasked with reporting on the news that there was “no evidence of widespread or systemic bullying or harassment, including misogyny or misogynoir at the charity” from any staff member, including the Duke of Sussex.

As well as the ruling, Balls and Garraway also reported on the respective statements from the Duke of Sussex and the charity’s current chairwoman, Dr Sophie Chandauka.

Along with correspondent Richard Gaisford, the GMB presenters outlined criticism from the Charity Commission itself, which criticised all parties for allowing tensions to unfold in public and said the handling of internal issues amounted to “mismanagement in the administration of the charity.”

Kicking off the report on Wednesday, Balls put to Gaisford: “I think Prince Harry, overnight, and his spokespeople have hit back at what are pretty embarrassing findings.”

Rather than challenge Balls’ suggestion the duke would be “embarrassed”, Gaisford replied: “Yeah, he’s not happy because, while the Charity Commission has found no widespread evidence of bullying, misogyny, of racism against Black women, it is critical of Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso who both set up this charity together for allowing this row to develop in public in the first place.

“The Charity Commission said that it wasn’t just damaging for that charity, in particular, but for others because it undermined, as you said, people’s perception of charities in general.”

Gaisford went on to share select excerpts from Dr Chandauka’s response to the ruling, in which “she accused Prince Harry of being toxic among many other things”, according to the GMB reporter.

While GMB did include Prince Harry’s full response to the ruling, the manner in which the discussion was conducted left plenty to be desired in the eyes of Kaur.

Reacting to GMB’s report on X, Kaur didn’t hold back. “Disgraceful reporting from @GMB Harry was cleared of bullying, but they spin it like he’s guilty of bad PR!?!” she questioned.

“Meanwhile, real bullying allegations against Charles last week? Silence. Buried. What is this @gmb??”

Well done GBnews for reporting more fairly than @GMB

In a separate post on the social media site, Kaur heaped praise on one outlet that she felt covered the news more fairly: GB News.

The People’s Channel’s Royal team has been following the story extensively both online and on-screen, and their efforts were applauded by Kaur when compared to the work of GMB.

Acknowledging the rare change in opinion, Kaur penned in response to a GB News article about the ruling: “Must be whacky Wednesday because I’m about to congratulate @GBNEWS for better and fairer reporting over Prince Harry than @GMB.

“Gmb literally disgraceful reporting over Harry this morning! @Ofcom,” she signed off.

The praise for Britain’s No1 News Channel didn’t stop there from the outspoken commentator either.

In another separate post, Kaur reacted directly to the GB News X account, writing: “Well done GBnews for reporting more fairly than @GMB.” (sic)

This isn’t the first time this week that GMB has found itself hitting headlines for the nature of its reporting.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper joined the show on Tuesday to discuss the government’s new “one-in, one-out” migrant pilot scheme in the Channel.

However, the “chummy” nature of the discussion sparked fury from some at home.

Elsewhere, Balls faced criticism for being involved in an interview with a Home Office minister on Monday, despite his wife, Cooper, being the one overseeing the department.
