Stacey Solomon ‘sets record straight’ on reports she has ‘quit’ ITV Loose Women after 13 years: ‘Proud’

Television presenter Stacey Solomon’s representative has dismissed reports suggesting she has departed from ITV’s Loose Women programme.

The spokesperson confirmed that the 35-year-old continues to be a “proud Loose Women” panellist.

The denial, shared with The Sun, follows claims published earlier on Tuesday that Mrs Solomon had “quietly quit” the daytime talk show after serving on its panel for 13 years.

According to the representative’s statement, Mrs Solomon maintains her connection to the programme despite her reduced appearances.

The mother of five, who shares her Essex home with husband Joe Swash and their children, has been a fixture on the ITV show since joining in 2011.

Her Instagram profile continues to identify her as a “proud” member of the Loose Women team.

The Daily Mail reported that Mrs Solomon had ended her association with the programme, with sources claiming the show’s production team had ceased attempting to book her following repeated rejections.

According to the publication’s insider, multiple efforts to secure Mrs Solomon’s participation throughout last year were unsuccessful, leading producers to pursue alternative panellists.

The source alleged that whilst viewers appreciate Mrs Solomon’s contributions and her appearances typically enhance ratings, she hasn’t featured as a regular panellist throughout 2025.

They suggested the presenter had prioritised her BAFTA-nominated BBC programme Sort Your Life Out and her family reality series with Swash.

The insider indicated that younger presenters including Olivia Attwood, 34, and GK Barry, 26, had been brought in to attract similar demographics.

They noted Mrs Solomon maintains friendships with current panellists Kaye Adams and Linda Robson.

Mrs Solomon’s presence on the programme has diminished significantly in recent years.

Her most recent appearance as a regular panellist occurred on 3 June 2024, whilst her final contribution to date was as a guest during December 2024’s 25-hour charity broadcast supporting ITV’s Britain Get Talking initiative.

The presenter featured just once throughout 2024 and made only two appearances during 2023. Her consistent panellist duties concluded in 2022, marking a substantial reduction from her previous regular involvement.

Despite this decreased participation, Mrs Solomon has concentrated on alternative television commitments.

These include her acclaimed BBC series Sort Your Life Out, which received BAFTA recognition, and a reality programme documenting family life at Pickle Cottage, her Essex residence.

The programme faces significant changes as ITV implements widespread budget reductions across its daytime schedule.

From January, Loose Women will broadcast for only 30 weeks annually, down from 52, with 220 positions being eliminated across the show, Good Morning Britain and Lorraine by the end of 2025.

The programme will relocate from Television Centre to a smaller central London facility shared with Lorraine. Live audiences and celebrity guests will be discontinued, with content focusing on regular panellists including Ruth Langsford and Denise Welch.

Panellist Nadia Sawalha expressed distress about the redundancies, describing the announcements as “brutal”. She acknowledged the uncertainty facing non-employee presenters, stating: “I could be let go tomorrow, in five years, you don’t know because we’re not employees.”
