Thomas Skinner has unleashed a furious statement on social media after facing more criticism from online trolls following his Strictly exit.
The former Apprentice star was the first celebrity voted off of this year’s series alongside Amy Dowden after failing to impress the judges on the dance floor.
While he was unable to curry favour with Shirley Ballas and co, he also failed to win over the public vote, with the 34-year-old being open and honest about the abuse he’s faced online.
The 34-year-old has regularly come under fire since entering the spotlight for sharing patriotic views on social media, as well as being critical of all things woke.
In the build-up to his Strictly stint, he also hit headlines after reports of an affair from three years ago emerged. His subsequent apology and accountability for the situation did little to appease his critics.
Almost two weeks on from his Strictly elimination, and it appears the abuse hasn’t relented.
In a post shared to X on Wednesday afternoon, Mr Skinner let loose: “I’ve had enough of all this b*****s. I can’t do anything right now without someone criticising me. Or making me do something against my will. It’s bulls***.
“I wish I never done Strictly, I never fitted the bill for that show, let’s be honest. And it’s caused me nothing but agg. Constant abuse.”
Mr Skinner proceeded to insist he solely uses his online platform to “spread positivity,” but admitted that the backlash online had transferred to real life too.
“I can’t walk anywhere without people knowing who I am. I’ve had a narrative spun against me so people always have an opinion on me now that they didn’t three months ago,” he said.
“I’ve heard so many lies said and told about me. It’s driving me mad. I’ve had a constant pile-on of abuse over the last month, like I’m a mass murderer. It’s bulls***.”
Mr Skinner revealed it isn’t just strangers who’ve taken their toll on him as “now people I’ve supported my whole life are starting to turn on me because they see what’s going on online”.
