Niko Omilana speaks out after fans slam ‘unfair’ BBC Celebrity Traitors exit: ‘Worst Faithfuls ever!’

Celebrity Traitors has the nation gripped, and after the first two Round Table victims were revealed in Wednesday’s episode, many are venting their frustrations on social media.

Last week ended on a huge cliffhanger as it seemed likely either Kate Garraway or Niko Omilana would be booted off, with only a few remaining celebrities yet to cast their votes. Before they could share their prediction, though, the credits rolled.

The start of Wednesday’s visit to the castle saw YouTuber star Mr Omilana becoming the first Round Table banishment, a move that has left his fans furious.

Viewers know the 27-year-old was, in fact, a Faithful, and upon unveiling this information, the group seemed to feel guilty about their decision.

Viewers were quick to point out how unjust the social media star’s exit was, with floods of comments on X bashing those who had been influenced by the Round Table mentality.

With the secret now out, Mr Omilana himself shared his feelings about the situation.

“My friends, I am out of The Traitors!” he exclaimed in an Instagram Story video.

He continued: “I’m fine, I really couldn’t care less. This isn’t something I have been really excited about for a long time.

“But one thing I will say, in my defence guys, I know this is very embarrassing for me… But one thing I will say is I believe this is the worst group of Faithfuls ever.”

After the scathing review of his co-stars, he clarified: “Nice people, terrible Faithfuls, truly. I knew I was finished when people were voting for me and saying, ‘I don’t even think it’s you, but I just had to put a name down.’

“Then I realised they were just vibing it. People know that the Traitors go in there planting seeds, but they’re not thinkin,g ‘Who’s planting the seeds? They’re just going, ‘Oh, well, it’s you,’ and I just was the one who had to go.

“I was the one on the chopping block, and I don’t know how the Faithfuls will end up winning this or even getting them [the Traitors] because of the way in which they’re approaching the game.

“It’s, ‘Oh, it’s Niko, you are a YouTuber, you are gone, you’re untrustworthy scum’. And one thing you guys didn’t see was that Round Table was the most intense thing I’ve ever seen in my life, and obviously, they have to cut it down for TV and make it shorter.

“But there were some people going crazy at me, and I was like, ‘Okay then, alright,’ but I knew I was gone. The moment the votes were happening, I knew I was gone, I knew my fate, and I am gone.”

Ending the rant on a positive note, he encouraged viewers not to give up on the series.

“But guys, keep watching the show – it’s the best show on TV, it’s the only show I watch on TV, to be honest.

“And will be continuing to watch for Ruth [Codd], because Ruth is a real one. She’s standing up, she’s going to get Jonathan [Ross] out.”

Finding another burst of passion about the situation, he added: “And that’s another reason… Ruth exposed Jonathan at the table, Jonathan starts lying at the table, Clare [Balding] is backing Ruth up, and the Faithfuls still don’t see that there is a liar amongst them!

“If there is a liar there, vote them out! But yeah, they didn’t see that… And like I said, worst Faithfuls ever. Good people, terrible Faithfuls.”

He ended the clip by joking: “And I’m gone, I’m dead now, so I don’t even know how I’m doing this story.”
