Brooklyn Beckham’s ex, Lexi Wood, has waded in on the alleged “family feud” between the 26-year-old, his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham, and his parents, Victoria and David Beckham.
Lexi’s claims come as Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebrations last weekend, with the high-profile snub fuelling speculation about growing tensions within the famous family.
It has been claimed that Victoria and David are “done” with their daughter-in-law, allegedly viewing her as “controlling” towards Brooklyn and pulling the family further apart.
Brooklyn and Nicola flew over to the UK after snubbing the Met Gala with the intention of attending the football legends’ star-studded party at London’s Michelin-star restaurant Core – however, they were nowhere to be seen.
Sources have claimed Brooklyn had planned to attend his father’s celebration but felt uncomfortable after Nicola was blamed for the family rift – which began when tensions allegedly rose between Brooklyn and his brother Romeo over the youngster’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
Initial reports suggested Brooklyn had previously dated Kim in 2016, creating an awkward family dynamic, with sources close to Nicola telling TMZ that the couple wanted “to get together privately” with David and Victoria to avoid Kim.

However, family insiders claim this narrative is being used as an excuse for the wider feud, with sources claiming that Kim was being made a “scapegoat” for the ongoing family drama.
Amid the claims that Nicola is the one who wants to distance herself from the family, Lexi has spoken out about her experience with the famous family and had nothing but praise.
The 27-year-old reality star, who was linked to Brooklyn in 2018 when they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles, shared her thoughts during an appearance on The Viall Files podcast.
She contradicted the negative portrayal of the Beckhams and described them as the type of family she’s accustomed to, who “give each other advice” and “work with each other where they can”.
When asked specifically about the Beckhams, Lexi was effusive in her praise and expressed: “They’re a beautiful family. Victoria, she’s the style icon. They’re the coolest family.”
Lexi elaborated on her positive experience with them, saying: “Both families have raised such great families. And just being so close and having those same like morals and values that I have so innately, it was just so nice being around them.”
She also expressed happiness for Brooklyn’s current relationship, noting: “Brooklyn is in a great relationship and I’m so happy for him.”
Sources close to the Beckhams have rejected claims they were unwelcoming towards Nicola, telling The Mirror the couple backed her “at every opportunity” – before friends of the family added that David and Victoria feel “no anger but just a deep sense of sorrow about how things have turned out”.
Brooklyn’s absence from his father’s celebrations extends beyond the main birthday party, with it being claimed that he declined an invitation to join David and his brothers on a “boys'” fishing trip to celebrate his 50th.
Despite the snub, David extended an olive branch to his son, captioning one post from the trip: “You were missed @brooklynbeckham.”
Cruz Beckham has publicly denied that Brooklyn and Kim ever dated, responding to an Instagram comment with: “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.”
A source added to The Mail: “Brooklyn was close to Kim because she was dating Rocco, and they all hung out in a tight-knit friendship group.
“But that was years ago. Brooklyn and Kim were close, but there was never any romance.”
David is said to be devastated by the ongoing family drama and fears he has “lost” his eldest son, wanting to “heal” the rift that has formed between them.
